Coronavirus Update – March 26, 2020

We continue to monitor the coronavirus pandemic daily to ensure that our Member’s, Employee’s and all of our families stay safe and healthy during this time.

Effective Monday, March 30, 2020 our office hours will be Monday-Friday, 10:00am – 2:00 pm until further notice.

  • To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, We will continue to practice social distancing in our lobby by allowing only 2 people in our office at a time;
  • Continue to sanitize our office areas and providing hand sanitizer at our teller stations;
  • We will continue to closely monitor and evaluate the impact of this virus on a daily basis;
  • Continue to follow guidance from public health officials and government agencies.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Credit Union Update

We take our Member’s and Staff’s well-being very seriously and we understand the uncertainty and concern surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) that is why we encourage you to do the following:

Take advantage of Home Banking and Mobile Banking (TouchBanking) to easily check balances, make transfers and view history, without having to leave your home or come to our office.  If you are not currently enrolled, we suggest you enroll now.

Sign up for direct deposit of your payroll to a debit card accessible account so that you can easily access your funds when our office is closed.

Be sure to wash your hands thoroughly with soap or use sanitizer before and after any money transactions, including currency exchange or payments, card usage and ATM transactions.

Apply for a loan simply by completing our application, available at www.nccdefcu.com and emailing it to staff@nccdefcu.com.

Beware of scams due to the pandemic threat.  If anyone contacts you claiming to be from any agency or financial institution and asks for your personal information, please be diligent and do not share any account, social security, password or other personal identification details.  Please contact us immediately.

We also want to make you aware that we have implemented certain precautionary measures to protect you when visiting our office such as sanitizing surfaces and providing hand sanitizer at teller workstations.

Better Values Better Banking Scholarship Program

Call for Scholarship Applicants!

If you plan to attend college this year after graduating from high school, you’ll be happy to know that New Castle County Delaware Employees Federal Credit Union is offering eligible members a chance to win a $1,500 scholarship to help cover the expanding costs associated with your college education. 

The Credit Union College Scholarship Program, supported by Delaware Credit Unions and our statewide campaign, Better Values – Better Banking, is funding three $1,500 scholarships that will be awarded this Spring to three high school graduates chosen as winners from across the state. And, we are hoping that one of those lucky winners is a member of our credit union.

There is no fee to apply! To be eligible, you simply must be a member of New Castle County Delaware Employees Federal Credit Union and a high school senior who will be enrolled in an undergraduate college/university degree program during the 2020-2021 academic year. Each applicant must also complete a Scholarship Application below and submit it along with an academic transcript of grades, a typewritten essay of at least 250 words describing what career you wish to pursue when you complete your education and why as well as a detailed list of extracurricular, community and/or volunteer activities to us before July 10, 2020.
